|Coaching Management Structure|
Bowls Scotland, in partnership with the Scottish Indoor Bowling Association and sportscotland, has created a Coaching Development Group (CDG) to lead on the creation and implementation of a Coaching Action Plan for the sport. The CDG will ensure that bowls in Scotland has a structure and system in place for coaching that will enable Scotland to retain its position as a World leading nation for bowls.
The current members of the Coaching Development Group are:

The CDG will be closely supported by Bowls Scotland staff. The staffing group will play a crucial role in delivering the Coaching Action Plan and administering coach education and development courses.
We are currently in the process of recruiting seven Regional Coaching Coordinators who will play a pivotal role in supporting coach education within their Region. The seven Regions are as follows:

The new Coaching Management Structure also includes ‘Senior Tutors’ which is a new role we will introduce with the creation of the new Introductory Level Award. The Senior Tutors will be up-skilled to ensure there is consistency maintained across our coach education courses and to lead the training of new Tutors.
